Girls & Boys – Golf Team Qualification Requirements
Golf Team Qualification:
Golfers must complete at least three (3) verified golf tournament rounds over the summer and have an average score of 117 or less for their three (3) lowest verified tournament rounds to make the Timber Creek Golf Team. Playing more than three (3) tournaments is highly encouraged to be competitive. Tournament requirements are listed below. Eligible tournament dates must be between April 27th and August 4th. I will send each golfer a confirmation email once the golfer has met the qualification requirements to make the team.
To Qualify to be On the Timber Creek Golf Team Each Golfer Must:
Have a completed athletic participation packet and physical on file, (*Note)
Meet all UIL academic eligibility requirements,
Complete a minimum of three (3) verified summer tournament rounds,
Average at least 117 for the three lowest verified tournament rounds,
Use their own golf clubs & golf equipment,
Dress in appropriate Golf Attire (Collared Shirts Required; Denim Jeans / Shorts not allowed),
Supply your own transportation to practices and to local tournaments if you make the team.
Tournament Requirements:
Eligible tournaments must be at least 18 holes in length, played as an individual medalist, and be part of an organized junior tour or event. Scramble, best ball, partner, member guest type tournaments, or nine (9) hole tournament events do not count.
Summer Golf Programs & Leagues:
There are many levels of summer golf leagues and tours that will fit your golfer’s current ability. Here are a few in no particular order that we check for tournament availability:

I recommend participating in the Fort Worth City Championship, www.fwjga.us. The tournament is free to enter for residents of Tarrant County. Each verified round will count as a round for the three (3) required tournament rounds to qualify. The tournaments will be held on July 15-18 for girls and on July 22-25 for the boys. Registration opens May 1st. Follow the link above for more information and to register your golfer when available.
Tournament Results & Verification:
Results of each tournament completed must be emailed to me at Russell.Fuqua@kellerisd.net with the subject line of Summer Golf Tournament. The following is required in the text of the email message:
Golfer’s First & Last Name,
Date & Location of the Event,
Host Organization of the Event,
Final Round Score (Each days score if more than 18 holes are played).
I will verify scores using the internet based on the information sent. If I cannot verify the tournament, it will not count toward team qualification.
