Varsity Boys - JV Boys - JV Girls - Indian Creek - March 17, 2015

The Timber Creek Boys Varsity Golf, JV Boys, and JV Girls Teams competed at Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrolton on St. Patrick's Day.  It was a beautiful day for golf.  The sun came out and as the temperature got hotter so did our golfers.  It took a few holes for the golfers to thaw out from the recent frigid weather but when they did scores began to fall.  The Varsity Boys Golf Team captured fourth place out of thirteen teams at the Hebron Hawks Invitational.  Many golfers shot personal bests during the tournament that helped secure the high finish.  The Falcon’s top golfer Tyler Brant finished in 10th place out of 68 golfers with a score of 83.  Tyler was followed closely by Noah Scullin who shot an 84, Brandon McClendon scored an 86, Tyler Adams with an 87, and Jarred Roland shot an 89.  Congratulations to the team on a great tournament.

Coppell Red Team took first place for the Varsity Boys with a team score of 305.  Byron Nelson posted a team score of 330 for a second place finish and Southlake Carroll round out the top three with a total of 342 strokes.  Individually first & second place was won by Coppell Red with scores of 69 & 77 respectively.  Southlake Carroll took third with a score of 78 in Boys Varsity event.

In the JV Boys division our Falcons shot a team score of 427 to finish in sixth place out of the nine teams competing.  The Falcons put forth a good effort but couldn't keep up with the eventual leaders.  The golfers from Byron Nelson secured first place with a team total of 346.  Centennial's team finished in second place with a team score of 364 strokes.  Keller Central brought home third place with a team total of 390.  Grapevine won the first place individual medal shooting a score of 77.  Centennial's top golfer shot 79 on his way to a second place finish.  Third place belonged to Byron Nelson with a score of 83.

In the JV Girls division the Falcons entered two golfers in a field of 56 competitors.  Our golfers improved as the day went on but it just wasn't enough to be awarded the hardware.  Hebron, the host school, received the trophies for first place with a team score of 386.  Two of Hebron's golfers placed individually in 1st and 3rd with scores of 88 & 93 respectively.  The second place team was Colleyville Heritage with a team score of 410.  The second place medalist carded a score of 81 and was from Grand Prairie High School.  Parish Episcopal rounded out the top three and received the third place awards with a team finish of 419.
